Float Collective products and bracelets go on sale today at select industry retailers.
The Float Collective is a product-based fundraising initiative organized by SIMA that benefits 14 different humanitarian organizations.
The project includes a wide range of products such as watches, backpacks, sandals, boardshorts, T’s, hats and more produced by the industry’s best brands and distributed by specialty retailers with the goal of giving back to those in need.
Participating brands include including Nixon, Quiksilver, Rip Curl, RVCA, Electric, Stance, Roark, Corkcicle, and Raw Elements.
Surf ambassadors are lined up to support the initiative, including Alana Blanchard, Kanoa Igarashi, Jack Freestone, Conner Coffin, Sage Erickson, Kala Alexander, Taylor Knox, Miguel Pupo, and the band Switchfoot.
As the products are sold throughout the summer, a 5% royalty from each product, as well as the proceeds from the specially-created bracelets, will be donated to the SIMA Humanitarian Fund.

In December, selected organizations will receive the proceeds from the 2017 Float Collective fundraising efforts in the form of a SIMA Humanitarian Fund grant. The organizations are: Access Surf, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Best Day Foundation, Amazing Surf Adventures, Life Rolls On, Surfers Healing, Maui Ola Foundation, Outdoor Outreach, Stoked Mentoring, Boys To Men Mentoring, Surf Aid, Valpo Surf Project, John Wayne Cancer Foundation and The Jimmy Miller Foundation.
