March 29th & 30th marked the 3-year anniversary of the premier men’s trade event, LA Men’s Market. For 48 hours the California Market Center was buzzing with the leading retailers, influencers & media outlets from the men’s space ready to get their first look at Holiday collections from industry leading brands including 10 Deep, Alpha Industries, Brixton, Daniel Wellington, Herschel Supply, HUF, Moleskine, Obey, Stutterheim, The Hundreds & Zanerobe.
With LA’s iconic downtown skyline as the backdrop, the show pulled from emerging cultural threads to bring attendees to the show and create an environment that enticed them to stay and do business. The Library section, a mainstay of LA Men’s Market, was outfitted with ergonomic brilliance from Herman Miller and featured publications like Cereal, Hypebeast, Mark Magazine and others allowing attendees to put their feet up, charge their devices and soak in the culture. Stumptown Coffee, Free Range, Modelo Especial & Om Nom Organics kept attendees well-fed and energized throughout the day.
In the spirit of innovation and category-focus, LA Men’s Market’s Pin & Patch section brought together small accessory brands with large impact while a men’s grooming area sponsored by Blind Barber kept people looking proper. This attention to detail created a full-circle experience for traditional media outlets & digital influencers alike with WWD, Hypebeast, Sportswear International, Herring & Herring, Gent’s Lounge (Blake Scott, Parker York Smith & George Laboda), Bradley Soileau, Jeff Mindell and many others making time to come out and experience the show.
“There is no other platform for brands to showcase the pivotal Holiday & Summer seasons,” said LA Men’s Market Founder Kellen Roland. This creates a unique buying experience on the show floor including a diverse roster of brands from across the action sports, contemporary, lifestyle, streetwear and footwear spaces. Top-tier retailers including 12amrun, Active Ride Shop, American Rag Cie, Bastille, BC Surf & Sport, Boarders, Compound Gallery, ET Surf, Xtreme Boardshop, Feature LV, Industrial Rideshop, JackThreads, MLTD, Need Supply, Nordstrom, PacSun, Pharmacy, Revolve Clothing, RSVP Gallery, Scoop NYC, Seed People’s Market, Sheikh Shoes, Steadbrook, SWELL, Premier, Tilly’s and Zebraclub were among the buyers in attendance.
We’re excited to share the video recap below, and we’ll see you again in October.
