Executives described Oakley’s results as “outstanding” during the quarter. Globally, Oakley was the star in the wholesale division thanks to growing prescription eyewear and winter apparel collections, executives said.
In North America, both Oakley’s wholesale and e-commerce sales were very robust.
In wholesale in North America, Oakley sales rose in the high-teens in eyewear in the fourth quarter at constant exchange rates. Both prescription and sun eyewear grew double digits.
Oakley’s apparel, footwear and accessories division also posted positive numbers.
The company believes the partnership with the NFL is helping to fuel Oakley’s strong results in the region.
The most demand in North America came from the independent and sporting goods channels and third party e-commerce customers.
Oakley e-commerce sales in North America grew double digits as well.
