Vail Resorts and the the Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association have ratified a new agreement that includes the $2 per hour wage increase they were seeking, ending the strike at Utah’s Park City Mountain.

“Park City Mountain has reached an agreement with the Park City ski patrol union that is consistent with our company’s wage structure for all patrollers, non-unionized and unionized, while accounting for the unique terrain and avalanche complexity of Park City Mountain,” said Bill Rock, President of Vail Resorts’ Mountain Division, in a statement.

According to Utah radio station KDCW, the contract includes:

  • A $2 per hour wage increase for entry-level safety staff and patrollers.
  • An average wage increase of $4 per hour for tenured ski patrollers, with a raise of $7.75 per hour for experienced patrollers.

The contract is vaild until April 2027.

The union, which represents approximately 200 people, has been negotiating since April 2024. Patrollers went on strike in December.

“We look forward to welcoming back the Park City Mountain patrollers in the coming days and moving forward together as one team,” Rock said. “We apologize to our guests who were impacted by this strike and are incredibly grateful to our team who worked hard to keep the mountain open and operating safely over the past two weeks.”
