She founded Shop Eat Surf in 2007 (acquired by Emerald in 2019) and led its 2025 expansion into Shop Eat Surf Outdoor. Previously a reporter and editor at The Orange County Register for more than a decade, covering beats ranging from police and city hall to the business of surf, retail, and restaurant industries.
